Rethinking perspectives of the space
A perimeter drop ceiling preserves the central height while directing light toward paintings and decorative objects. The opening to the living room has been widened to incorporate a black lacquered aluminum industrial-style double door. Near the existing staircase, the former narrow passage to the kitchen now opens up significantly. These targeted interventions transform the perception of the villa from the moment you enter.
A SieMatic kitchen at the heart of the villa
The SieMatic S2 kitchen is organized around an island nearly six meters long. Dark-stained oak adds depth, while Taj Mahal quartzite - also used for the two-centimeter countertop and the back of the illuminated niches - brightens the space with its beige tones. The cooking area and the table with six stools extend along a single line. Miele appliances include the refrigerator and wine cooler. The opposite wall was resized to center the 50-inch screen facing the island.
Custom design as a common thread throughout the living areas
Between the kitchen and the dining room, the atelier-style door maintains the perspective while defining the spaces. The sideboard in RAL 9010 lacquered MDF spans from wall to wall, matching the room's color scheme. Sonos speakers integrated into the drop ceilings of all three areas provide added comfort.
In the living room, Home Design custom-crafted a unit in stained and matte-varnished oak, creating continuity with the kitchen. The Kalfire gas fireplace, technical equipment, and the niche for the 75-inch screen are combined into a single composition. Low storage, backlit shelves, and a custom heat diffuser blend aesthetics with functionality. Light oak parquet flooring visually connects the living spaces.
A master bathroom designed under the eaves
In the master bathroom, the two roof slopes guided a custom design. 120 by 120 centimeter porcelain stoneware tiles wrap the floor and walls. The open walk-in shower, the niche with marble shelves, the vanity with two molded sinks, the backlit mirror, and the freestanding bathtub create a precise and comfortable space.
A custom walk-in closet in harmony with the suite
The laminate walk-in closet features a warm wood tone similar to dark oak. In the bedroom, the matching backlit headboard, accompanied by two floating nightstands, extends this design theme.
A second bathroom designed with the same spirit
The children's bathroom combines 120 by 120 centimeter porcelain stoneware with a different marble. The shower, vanity with integrated sinks, backlit mirror, and illuminated shelves reflect the same attention to detail.
The result of a comprehensive vision
This villa renovation in Lasne illustrates Home Design's expertise in high-end interior remodeling: rethinking volumes, designing custom furniture, and maintaining overall coherence. The owners were delighted. The husband had reserved the final reveal for his wife, who returned to a completely transformed home.
